 I have had many social media apps like Pinterest and Instagram for years, but I am not as familiar with X. Once I decided that I wanted to be a teacher, I found lots of good teacher accounts on Instagram and TikTok, and I love following along with their content. It inspires me for my future career and gives me great ideas for classroom set up, lessons, and classroom management. I also have found many Pinterest boards that have so many good ideas for teachers. Now when I use social media and am "scrolling", I see these creators and feel like I am getting something beneficial from my social media time rather than mindless scrolling.  I like to say my age group "grew up" with technology. For example, no one I knew had a phone before middle school, but nowadays, kids get phones starting way younger. One major technology implementation issue in classrooms is academic dishonesty. In my future classroom, I will address this by creating assignments that focus on creativity, which will encourage students to think of their own ideas rather than using someone else's. I would also implement plagiarism checkers if needed, to ensure students are doing their own work. The thing I think is most important is talking to my students about why honesty matters and help them understand that for a life lesson.  I have learned about copyright and fair use in school, so it is interesting to see it in a new way when thinking about it as a teacher. I would make sure to use only media that qualifies for fair use or that I have permission for.      At my K-8 school, we did not have personal iPads or computers, but we had classroom computers where we used Microsoft Word fairly often. Because of this exposure, I have been familiar with Microsoft Word for a long time and prefer using it over other word processing softwares. I find it user-friendly and I like the layout/setup, though that is just my personal preference. In high-school, we each had our own iPads under a Google account, so we used Google Docs, which was fine at the time. After coming to FSU, where we use Microsoft Word again, I found that it is my favorite. Last year, I decided to change my career path from nursing to teaching. I have always loved children and I work at a school, so I feel like I have some experience I can bring with me into the profession.   However, I am hoping to learn a lot from this class about how I can use technology to the best of my ability in my future classroom. I want to become familiar with the different programs I can use to make my students' learning experience as best as I can.  As I mentioned, my current job is in the after school program at a local school. I am with a "class" of students from third grade each day that I work, and we are expected to create activities for them after they play and work on their homework.
